During an appearance on Channels Television, Falana emphasized the need for the government to be transparent about how proceeds from the removal of fuel subsidy are utilized, urging the media to demand monthly allocation details for each tier of government.

Highlighting constitutional provisions, Falana pointed out that Section 22 mandates the media to promote transparency and accountability in government affairs. He stressed the media’s role in demanding and scrutinizing monthly allocations, comparing pre and post-subsidy removal earnings.

Addressing concerns over NNPC remittances and wage awards, Falana urged the government to provide clarity on revenue generation and expenditure, particularly regarding the promised wage increases for workers.

In advocating for transparency, Falana echoed the public’s right to know and understand how government funds are allocated and utilized, calling for sustained scrutiny and accountability measures to ensure effective governance.
