The EFCC’s swift action follows meticulous intelligence gathering revealing the escalating prevalence of cyber fraud within educational institutions in the state. Employing thorough investigations and days of surveillance, the anti-graft agency tracked down the suspects, cornering them in various locations where they attempted to hide.

Among the apprehended individuals are several names linked to the illicit activities, including Idris Yekini, Ayantola Segun, Adeshina Taheeb, Mustapha Alamin, and many others. The extensive list of suspects also includes residents from Malete, underscoring the widespread nature of the operation.

During the operation, authorities seized a cache of illicit goods, including nine luxury vehicles, twenty-four laptops, and various brands of mobile phones, serving as damning evidence of the nefarious activities.

As investigations continue, the apprehended individuals will face the full force of the law, with the EFCC committed to ensuring accountability and justice in combatting cybercrime in the region.
