Teenage Twins And Two Others Apprehended For Theft Of Rice And Beans In Ekiti

Sunday Abutu, the spokesperson for the command, revealed this development in a statement issued on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

According to Abutu, the twins were apprehended on April 25 while attempting to break into a shop located on Mathew Street in Odo-Ado, Ado Ekiti. Upon interrogation, the suspects admitted to their participation in the crime.Teenage twins arrested for stealing bags of rice and beans in Ekiti

“They further confessed to being responsible for the burglary of three shops at Fayemi Market in Agric Olope, Ado Ekiti, where they absconded with two bags of rice, two bags of beans, and other valuable items totaling N936,750,” the statement elaborated.

Furthermore, investigations conducted by the Command’s Rapid Response Squad led to the arrest of Funke Afolayan and Nnaji Benignus Aroh, whom the suspects claimed had been aiding in the disposal of stolen property.

The statement concluded by noting that the suspects would be appropriately arraigned in court to face charges related to their alleged crimes.
