Breaking: SDP’s Deputy Governorship Candidate Abandons Party As Election Nears!

With the gubernatorial election in Ondo State just weeks away, the deputy governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mrs. Susan Gbemisola Alabi, has officially stepped down from her position and resigned from the party.

Alabi’s decision was conveyed in a letter addressed to the SDP’s governorship candidate, Bamidele Akingboye, as well as the party’s National Chairman, Shehu Musa Gabam. In the letter, dated October 2, 2024, Alabi announced that her resignation is effective immediately but did not provide any specific reason for her departure or her next political move.

Expressing gratitude to Akingboye and the party, Alabi stated, “I formally resign as the Social Democratic Party Deputy Governorship Candidate for Ondo State in the 2024 election. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and trust you will continue making a positive impact on our state.” She also conveyed her appreciation to the SDP leadership for their support during her time with the party.
