Adamawa Disqualifies Over 44,000 Job Seekers, 52,000 Still Competing for 4,000 Slots

The Adamawa State Civil Service Commission has disqualified 44,099 candidates from its ongoing recruitment process, citing failure to meet basic requirements.

Out of the 96,102 individuals who applied for the limited 4,000 job openings, only 52,003 passed the initial screening phase and are now eligible for the next round.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, provided the update, noting that the majority of disqualified applicants submitted incorrect qualifications, applied for roles outside their field of study, uploaded invalid documents, or exceeded the acceptable age limit.

“Some candidates submitted NCE qualifications for roles that didn’t require them, while others mismatched their courses of study or uploaded irrelevant documents. A few were simply too old for the advertised positions,” Wonosikou explained.

He urged the 52,003 successful candidates to adequately prepare for the next phase and carefully adhere to the new requirements that will soon be released.

He reassured the public of the government’s commitment to a fair and merit-based process: “Each step is aimed at selecting only the most qualified individuals to serve the people of Adamawa State.”
