The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State has suspended its State Chairman, Adamu Bako Ninga, over alleged misconduct and actions deemed contrary to the party’s principles. According to Ireporter Online, the decision was made on March 25, 2026, during a meeting of the party’s State Working Committee, which reviewed concerns regarding Ninga’s leadership and conduct.

In a statement issued by the State Secretary, Kafas D. Kaura, the party explained that the suspension resulted from multiple actions and omissions inconsistent with its constitution. The PDP alleged that Ninga disclosed internal party information to rival groups, made unilateral decisions without consulting committee members, ran the party harshly, neglected to convene critical meetings, and engaged in activities perceived to undermine the party’s interests.

The suspension is set to last one month, during which a disciplinary panel will investigate the matter and determine further steps. The committee also instructed Ninga to surrender all party property in his possession to the deputy chairman immediately. The party emphasized that the action aligns with its constitution and noted that additional decisions will follow the completion of the investigation.
