Veteran Fuji musician Remi Aluko has disclosed that he is currently living with severe vision loss caused by complications from glaucoma, a condition he has battled for several years.

According to Ireporter Online, the singer made the revelation during a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, where he spoke candidly about the prolonged health struggle that has significantly affected his eyesight despite earlier medical efforts, including surgery.

Aluko explained that while many people are unaware of the extent of his condition, he has deliberately chosen not to let it define his daily life or public persona.

He revealed that his vision has now deteriorated to the point where he considers himself effectively blind, although he has adapted to living independently and managing his personal activities without assistance.

The Fuji star noted that he has continued to maintain a positive outlook, choosing not to dwell on his condition in order to avoid depression, even as he adjusts to life with limited sight.

“I’m a glaucoma patient. I’m managing myself; I’m currently not seeing. Despite being a glaucoma patient, many people don’t know. There’s no difference between me and a blind person now, but no one knows because I don’t let my condition weigh me down,” he said.

“Thank God that I know how to take care of myself like someone who can see. I decided not to dwell on my condition because I don’t want to be depressed.”
