Presidency: Before Tinubu, No One Could Travel From Abuja To Kaduna Without Security Agents
According to Ireporter Online, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communication, Daniel Bwala, has stated that the current administration has made significant progress in tackling insecurity across the country.
Bwala made the assertion during an interview on Arise News on Tuesday, where he highlighted what he described as coordinated efforts between the Nigerian military and United States forces in targeting and eliminating high-ranking Boko Haram commanders as well as other criminal elements.
He maintained that it would be unfair to downplay the achievements of security agencies operating in volatile regions, stressing that noticeable progress has been recorded despite ongoing challenges such as kidnappings and attacks in some areas.
The presidential aide further noted that the government remains committed to informing Nigerians of ongoing security improvements under President Tinubu’s leadership. He contrasted the current situation with the past, claiming that travel along the Abuja–Kaduna route previously required heavy security presence due to frequent insecurity incidents.
He also added that in recent times, citizens have been able to travel more freely across routes such as Abuja to Maiduguri and Adamawa, attributing this to improved security operations under the present administration.
