The Yoruba film industry has been thrown into mourning following the reported death of popular actor and comedian Adeshina Okiki Oshin, widely known as Janmole.

According to Ireporter Online, the news of his passing surfaced on June 1 after an Ibadan-based radio station announced the development via its social media platforms. In its statement, the station described Janmole as a multi-talented entertainer whose impact on the Yoruba movie industry would be long remembered.

The post read in part: “Heartbreaking news hits the Yoruba movie industry as multi-talented actor, filmmaker, and comedian Adeshina Okiki Oshin, popularly known as Janmole, has reportedly passed away.”

The station also extended condolences to his immediate family, friends, the people of Okeho, and members of the Nollywood community, following the tragic development.

At the time of filing this report, the exact cause of death had not been officially disclosed.

His reported passing has left fans and colleagues in shock, especially given that he survived a serious accident over a year ago, which had earlier raised hopes of a full recovery.

The news adds to a growing list of losses in the industry, following the deaths of Patrick Okoye and veteran Yoruba actor Fesogboye Oyewole, further deepening the sense of grief within the entertainment community.
