BBL For A Man Is A Waste Of Time” – Hilda Dokubo Warns Women

Veteran Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo has advised women, particularly young ladies aspiring to build careers in the entertainment industry, against undergoing cosmetic procedures such as Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) solely to gain male attention or validation.

According to Ireporter Online, the actress made the remarks during an interview while discussing the increasing popularity of body enhancement procedures among women.

Dokubo said women who choose to modify their bodies for personal reasons have the right to make such decisions, provided the procedures are affordable and do not put their lives or wellbeing at unnecessary risk.

However, she cautioned against undergoing painful and expensive cosmetic procedures simply to impress men, describing such motivation as misplaced.

The actress questioned why women should go through significant physical changes for the approval of men, arguing that self-worth should not be determined by physical appearance or external validation.

She also encouraged women to embrace the different stages of life and understand that the body naturally changes through puberty, pregnancy, motherhood and menopause.

Dokubo urged women to concentrate on their aspirations, personal growth and happiness rather than allowing societal expectations or the desire for approval to dictate how they view themselves.

She stressed that every woman should develop confidence and contentment regardless of changes to her physical appearance, noting that a woman’s value extends far beyond her body.

The veteran actress further cautioned against linking cosmetic body enhancements to marital failures, saying women who undergo such procedures should not automatically be blamed when relationships or marriages encounter difficulties.

Dokubo maintained that women should be allowed to make personal decisions about their bodies without being unfairly judged or held responsible for the breakdown of their marriages.
