Onyema made these claims during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today program. He highlighted the significant drop in ticket prices on the Lagos-London route since Air Peace commenced operations, which led to other airlines slashing their prices to remain competitive.

However, Onyema warned that foreign airlines are now fighting back and deliberately frustrating Air Peace’s operations. He cautioned that if these airlines succeed in their plan, Nigeria will suffer economic consequences, with severe implications for the country’s currency.

The Air Peace boss cited challenges such as ground handling and space allocation difficulties at Gatwick Airport as evidence of the alleged conspiracy against his airline. He urged other Nigerian carriers to join the Nigeria-UK route to challenge the monopoly currently enjoyed by foreign airlines.

Onyema’s message emphasized the importance of supporting Nigerian airlines and the potential impact on the country’s economy if Air Peace is forced out of international operations.
