APC Laughs Off 2027: Peter Obi And Kwankwaso’s Alliance? More Like A Recipe For Disaster

Ibrahim emphasized that previous attempts at forming an alliance between the two leaders had failed due to their clashing egos and ambitions.

He stated, “These are experiments that have been conducted several times, and the results cannot be expected to change unless the factor responsible for that result changes.” He elaborated that both Kwankwaso and Obi have consistently sought the presidency without a willingness to compromise, characterizing them as “strange bedfellows” unable to collaborate successfully.

The APC remains confident that any negotiations between the NNPP and Labour Party would ultimately be ineffectual, describing the discussions as mere “rhetoric” amid the APC’s political progress.

In contrast, the National Deputy Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdullahi Ibrahim, has welcomed the idea of an Obi-Kwankwaso alliance.

He believes such a collaboration could be pivotal in liberating Nigerians from the struggles they face under the current APC-led government. Emphasizing the need for unity among opposition parties, he stated, “If there is anything we expect from the opposition going forward, it is for them to close ranks and ensure they chart a common cause.” Ibrahim highlighted that the PDP, which has a history of governance, stands ready to support any efforts aimed at providing relief to the Nigerian populace, indicating that the political landscape is ripe for change.
