APC Urges Public to Disregard Fake Election Results Circulating Online

ABUJA – September 21, 2024: The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the public to dismiss fake election results being circulated on social media by certain political parties. In a statement, the APC clarified that vote collation for the ongoing Edo State Gubernatorial Election is still in progress, with counting at the Ward level yet to be completed, and no Local Government results finalized.

The party emphasized that only the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is authorized to collate and announce official election results, in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act. The APC stated that while it is leading in early results, it will wait for INEC’s official declaration before making any further claims.

APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, urged the public to disregard any false information and allow the election process to conclude properly under INEC’s supervision.
