Banky W’s Big Move: Relocates To The US With Family—Here’s Why

Veteran Nigerian musician, Bankole Wellington, widely recognized as Banky W, has declared that he and his family have moved to the United States.

Ireporteronline reports that Banky W announced this in a post via his official Instagram page.

Sharing photos via the social media platform, the 43-year-old rapper noted that they departed from Nigeria in pursuit of fulfilling his life’s purpose.

Bank W wrote: “For family. For faith. For finding purpose. For the next year of earning a Masters degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC.

“Wish us well”

Reacting to Banky W’s post on Instagram, his wife, Adesua stated: “Home is wherever you are.”

Earlier in July, the rapper announced his Policy Management enrolment at Georgetown University.

Bank W and Adesua Etomi married in South Africa in 2017 – and welcomed their child, Hazaiah in 2021.

Recall that the multiple award-winning artistes also delved into politics, becoming the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023 for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos.

However, he lost to the Labour Party’s Thaddeus Attah.

Naija News reports that fellow entertainers and fans have stormed Bank W’s post with wishes as he and his family move out of the country.
