Among these appointments, nine current Commissioners were re-appointed for a second term in office, while 11 new Commissioners were appointed.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, the President tasked both the new and returning NPC Commissioners with the responsibility of “successfully implementing all measures taken by his administration to produce and effectively utilize accurate population data.”
