Abubakar Chafe, spokesperson for the NCS Sokoto Command, revealed to reporters on Saturday, February 17, 2024, that the interception took place along the Gwadabawa-Illela road.

The seizure was prompted by the substantial quantity of farm produce discovered within the trucks, prompting immediate action from customs officials.

Chafe confirmed that the trucks are currently under the custody of the command, with investigations underway to determine the owners and intended destinations of the intercepted food items.
