Davido Declares: “Nobody Can Beat Me In Any Election

The singer made the statement during a livestream conversation with comedian Carter Efe, where they discussed politics and the possibility of Davido venturing into public office.

During the conversation, Carter Efe asked the award-winning musician if he would consider contesting for a governorship position in any state. In response, Davido said he currently has no plans to enter politics because of concerns surrounding the credibility of the electoral process.

The singer explained that he would not want to participate in a system where he believes election outcomes could be influenced unfairly. He said he would rather focus on his music career until there is greater confidence in the transparency of elections.

Davido stated that if Nigerians are allowed to freely choose their leaders and votes are accurately counted, he is convinced he could defeat any opponent in an election.

When Carter Efe jokingly suggested a presidential ambition, Davido maintained that he would win in a genuinely competitive election where citizens determine the outcome through their votes.

The music star also criticised what he described as a lack of trust in the electoral system, arguing that concerns over election credibility discourage many individuals from pursuing political positions.

Davido further revealed that he is closely monitoring political developments ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, expressing interest in how the electoral process will unfold.

He said he would continue concentrating on his entertainment career for now but remains open to considering politics when he believes the system can guarantee a transparent and credible contest.
