Since Monday, April 29, Davido and Wizkid, often seen as arch-rivals in the Nigerian music industry, have been engaging in a war of words via their verified X pages.

Wizkid reportedly initiated the online banter by responding to a fan’s request for a new music video with a viral video of Davido on his knees, begging Chioma after allegedly cheating on her.

The “Ojuelegba” crooner followed up with more derogatory remarks about Davido and even Peruzzi, who attempted to defend Davido.

In response, Davido fired back at Wizkid, even going as far as claiming that Wizkid’s career was dead.

This drama unfolded on the day Chioma celebrated her 29th birthday, but the online feud didn’t deter her and her husband from celebrating the occasion on social media.

On Monday, Davido shared a video of Chioma arriving at a holiday destination via X, wishing her a happy birthday. Chioma retweeted the video and shared another video of her having fun with the musician, captioning it: “Still my day… pure joy with my best friend”.

Earlier today, April 30, Davido took to his Instagram page to shower Chioma with praise, describing her as a “queen” and his “rock”.
