IPMAN Reveals Nigerian State Not Affected By Fuel Scarcity
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) in Rivers State has assured residents that Port Harcourt and its environs are unlikely to experience the fuel crisis plaguing other parts of the country……READ ALSO IPMAN President Addresses Petrol Scarcity In Nigeria
Agbakwuo Uzochukwu, the public relations officer for IPMAN in Rivers State, made this statement during an interview on Channels Television. He explained that there is currently an adequate supply of fuel in the region.
Uzochukwu attributed the scarcity in other states to the closure of government-regulated depots, which has restricted access for independent petroleum marketers. As a result, some areas are facing shortages and price hikes.
He noted that in Rivers State, traders are still able to access fuel from government-regulated depots, which helps to maintain stability in supply and pricing. However, he cautioned that if other states continue to rely on private depots for fuel supply, it could eventually impact Rivers State as well.
For now, Uzochukwu reassured residents that there is enough fuel in Rivers State to meet demand, but emphasized the importance of ensuring access to government-regulated depots to prevent future shortages.
