According to reports, a paternity dispute involving Afrobeats star Davido and 12-year-old Anuoluwapo Mitchelle has intensified, with the girl and her mother, Ayo Labinjoh, accusing the singer of bullying, threats, and spreading false information.

Anuoluwapo and Labinjoh challenged Davido’s claim that five DNA tests had been conducted, insisting that only one test was performed, which they allege was fraudulent. They further claimed that Davido had threatened to detain Labinjoh and that the ongoing controversy has negatively impacted Anuoluwapo’s mental health.

In a statement shared online, Anuoluwapo said, “My father, Mr. David Adeleke, replied to me earlier this evening. I was devastated by the way he cursed me, bullied me, and threatened to lock my mother up simply because I want to establish my identity. He also publicly insulted my mother and claimed that five DNA tests were conducted with me, when we only attended one test, which was reportedly invalid.”

Labinjoh rejected Davido’s comments, clarifying that she is not his “baby mama” and emphasizing her commitment to protecting her daughter’s wellbeing. She alleged that the original DNA test was compromised and stated her intention to seek international oversight for a new, independent test.

She added that the attention surrounding the case has caused emotional distress for her daughter, who experienced anxiety, fainting, and psychotherapy. Labinjoh also disputed claims that her family background was problematic, noting that she comes from a reputable family and that her daughter is intelligent and tech-savvy.

Labinjoh further alleged irregularities in the handling of the previous test and accused Davido’s representatives of misrepresenting the results. She claimed that Davido contacted her daughter directly in a threatening manner, prompting her to consider requesting intervention from the U.S. State Department to ensure a fair and independent DNA test.
