Fake Lawyer Who Won 26 Cases In Court Arrested

Kenyan authorities have apprehended a fraudulent individual, Brian Mwenda, who posed as a licensed lawyer and managed to secure victories in 26 cases while falsely presenting himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.

Reports indicate that this imposter handled a total of 26 cases before High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court of Appeal Judges prior to his arrest, all of which he claimed victory in.

Mwenda was taken into custody by the Law Society of Kenya Nairobi Branch Rapid Action Team (RAT) on charges of false pretenses. His arrest followed public complaints received by the RAT.

As confirmed by the LSK Nairobi Branch through their official social media account, Mwenda is not a legitimate advocate and lacks the necessary license to practice law in Kenya.

“It has been brought to the attention of the LSK Nairobi Branch through the Rapid Action Team (RAT), that the man has been presenting and conducting himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of LSK Nairobi Branch,” read the notice in part.

He is being held at the RAT headquarters pending further investigation.
