FG Unveils New Visa Process For Investors And Tourists

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this announcement following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Our visa processes are becoming cumbersome… The ease of doing business is also tied to our visa processes. Going forward, investors and tourists will find it easy to acquire a visa within the next 48 hours,” Idris declared.
The week’s FEC meeting, convened at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, commenced on Monday, May 13, and extended into Tuesday. Idris disclosed the extension on Monday, emphasizing the significance of the decisions being deliberated.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, ministers, and heads of parastatals attended the FEC meeting, marking its first convening since March.
