The federal government has announced the extension of its subsidized rice program, now offering 50kg bags for ₦40,000 in states like Lagos, Kano, and Borno. Despite the initiative’s good intentions, officials have faced challenges with public cooperation at sales locations. Nevertheless, the government remains committed to a smooth rollout of the program in the newly included states.
