FG Furious Over Super Eagles’ Shocking Libya Ordeal – Minister Vows Swift ActionSports Minister John Enoh has condemned the harsh treatment Nigerian players endured during their recent ordeal in Libya. During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Enoh stressed that the Federal Government is taking the incident seriously and will conduct a thorough investigation.

Enoh revealed that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has already summoned the Libyan Ambassador to Nigeria to address the issue.

This follows a troubling incident in which Super Eagles players and officials were stranded at a Libyan airport for hours on Sunday. Reports indicated they were denied food and internet access as they prepared for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against the Mediterranean Knights.

Thanks to diplomatic efforts and a strong social media outcry, the Nigerian team was eventually cleared to leave Libya.

“The Nigerian government has not taken this lightly and will not take this lightly. We will get to the bottom of the matter,” Enoh affirmed.
