Currently, football employs only yellow and red cards for disciplinary actions. However, a report suggests that the International Football Association Board (IFAB) will announce this groundbreaking development on Friday.

Under these new measures, players committing cynical fouls or displaying dissent towards match officials would face a 10-minute removal from play. If a player receives two blue cards in a match or a combination of a blue and a yellow, they would be sent off.

Initial trials are anticipated to commence this summer, although premier competitions will be exempted from the initial testing phase
