Blessing Karami, the 26-year-old university student who had been reported missing on September 11, was tragically found deceased in a bush in Karmo District of the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday, September 20.

Despite fervent efforts from her relatives, friends, and security personnel to locate her safely, the decomposed remains of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) student were discovered, casting a somber shadow over the nation, her family, and community.

The circumstances surrounding her untimely passing remain veiled in mystery, leaving her loved ones in mourning with countless unanswered questions.

Blessing’s boyfriend, Aminu, who was closely associated with her at the Commercial Plaza where she worked, has been apprehended and is currently assisting the police with their inquiries. He is currently held at the Criminal Investigation Department in Abuja.

It was reported that Blessing and Aminu had scheduled a meeting before she went missing.

Blessing, who was last seen on September 11, had taken a taxi from her workplace in Garki, Abuja, and left her office before closing hours, still in possession of her office key.

While the police investigation is underway, it is noteworthy that Blessing was not only vibrant but also active on Facebook. She often celebrated her friends on her page, describing herself as a “Lover of God, Foodie, and CEO @ Karami Makeover.”

With over 5000 followers on Facebook, Blessing followed 252 individuals. Her last post on Facebook was on August 31, when she shared a memory and wished a friend, Sam Nas, a happy birthday.

On July 27, as if she had a premonition of her fate, she shared a popular Bible verse: “I decree and declare Jeremiah 29:11 Over my life now and always 🙏”

In the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible, Jeremiah 29:11 reads: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Additionally, on her Facebook page on July 16, she revealed that she narrowly escaped a fatal accident during a journey to Abuja. She didn’t disclose her departure point nor the exact location of the accident, but she posted photos of the badly damaged car she was in, expressing her gratitude for emerging unscathed.

Blessing also shared that this was the third time the devil had plotted evil against her, yet he had failed each time.

Her tragic murder remains shrouded in mystery, with an unidentified individual named Genesis providing misleading information about the location of her sister’s body. This raises questions about the caller’s identity and motives.

Genesis Moses Karami, Blessing’s elder brother, had relocated from Kaduna to Abuja to aid in the search for her. He explained to the police that he had received a peculiar call on Tuesday evening, detailing the discovery of her sister’s body. However, it turned out to be false.

Karami recounted that after they reached the Karmo police station with a group of officers, the caller continuously changed locations, causing frustration and exhaustion among the search party.
