Governor Uzodimma emphasized his commitment to restoring integrity and trust in government operations, even if it means taking on additional responsibilities like overseeing the Ministry of Land personally. Despite the added workload, he expressed readiness to make sacrifices for the betterment of Imo State, including foregoing overseas travels for the state’s sake.

Acknowledging the workers’ support, Uzodimma promised not to take it for granted and pledged to prioritize their welfare. He outlined various initiatives aimed at improving workers’ conditions, including the implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage, timely salary payments, free transportation, comprehensive health insurance coverage, and palliative measures to mitigate the impact of fuel subsidy removal.

The governor also highlighted his administration’s efforts in extending the service period for teachers and initiating the payment of gratuities to retired workers. He called on Imo State workers to join him in realizing the vision of making the state a model for others, urging them to uphold integrity and make necessary sacrifices for the collective good.
