Just In: Fubara-Reaction On Rivers Judgment, Assures-Public No Need For Concern (Details)
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has finally spoken out following Thursday’s court ruling recognizing Martins Amaewhule and 24 others as Speaker and members of the state House of Assembly.
Fubara reassured the public, stating that there was no need for concern and emphasizing that the worst had passed. He cited Psalm 23:5, expressing confidence that divine support would prevail despite challenges.
During an inspection of the ongoing Zonal Hospital reconstruction in Bori Town, Khana Local Government Area, Fubara, accompanied by top officials, including the Health Commissioner and Agriculture Commissioner, affirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to providing essential infrastructure crucial for the state’s rapid development.
Addressing concerns, Fubara emphasized, “We remain undeterred in delivering good governance, particularly in critical sectors such as healthcare, education, and agriculture.”
He highlighted upcoming visits to Degema, Ahoada, and Omoku to monitor projects and reiterated his pledge to complete ongoing healthcare initiatives, including the Modern General and Psychiatric Hospitals in Rumuigbo.
Fubara acknowledged the dire state of healthcare facilities upon assuming office and underscored recent investments aimed at revamping and expanding four zonal hospitals, affirming his dedication to improving healthcare access across the state.
Once operational, the reconstructed hospitals are expected to significantly enhance healthcare services within their respective districts, aligning with sustainable development goals and the administration’s policy objectives.
