Mrs. Ashu Agbu, the Head of Information and Protocol Unit at the institution, confirmed this development during a telephone conversation with journalists. She disclosed that the abductors stated they had targeted the eatery’s owner and not the staff, but they would return for him later. The demand for ransom was made for the release of the two students.

Security agencies and local youths have intensified efforts to locate and apprehend the kidnappers. They are combing the surrounding forests and bush paths in a determined effort to rescue the students unharmed.

An expanded meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 8, involving security agencies, as well as local, state, and federal government representatives. The purpose of the meeting is to devise a comprehensive strategy to address the security challenges facing the institution and ensure the safety of its students and staff.
