Nothing Must Happen To Her’ – Stanley Ontop Sounds Alarm Over Angela Okorie Re-Arrest Plot

According to Ireporter Online, popular Nollywood filmmaker and actor Stanley Ontop has raised concerns over alleged plans to re-arrest actress Angela Okorie following her recent release from prison.

Angela was previously detained and remanded at Suleja Prison for allegedly defaming fellow Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson. Although the Federal High Court in Abuja granted her bail last Friday, delays in processing her bail conditions kept her in custody.

Stanley Ontop took to social media on Tuesday to confirm that Angela is set to regain her freedom. He also disclosed that some police officers had been stationed at the front of Suleja Prison following a new petition against the actress.

Calling out the Nigerian Police for what he described as unprofessional conduct, Stanley urged that nothing should happen to Angela upon her release. He wrote, “Angela Okorie will be out in a few minutes. There was a delay in verifying her surety’s residential address yesterday, but the court has now signed her release. We received information about a fresh petition against her and that some policemen are stationed at Suleja Prison to apprehend her immediately after release. May Nigeria never happen to you. @nigeriapoliceforce, is this how you work? What happened to invitations? Why are citizens being arrested by those meant to protect them? Nothing should happen to Angela Okorie today.”
