The Commandant of the Zamfara state NSCDC, Sani Mustafa, unveils this breakthrough during a press briefing at the command headquarters in Gusau, underscoring the agency’s commitment to combating criminal activities.

Mustafa reveals that one suspect, Sani Yakubu, was apprehended for vandalizing electric cables at a secondary school in Gusau, shedding light on the suspect’s recurrent involvement in such criminal acts within the state.

During interrogation, Yakubu confessed to vandalizing electrical fittings and wires from the school premises, subsequently selling the stolen items to a scrap dealer. Exhibits recovered from Yakubu include 40 bunches of copper wires, linking him directly to the crime scene.

Further demonstrating the NSCDC’s vigilance, Mustafa discloses the arrest of Malam Isah Ahmed alongside two accomplices for purchasing petrol in large quantities, contravening the state government’s executive order banning the sale of petrol in jerry cans.
