Osun 2026: Adeleke Unveils 52-Member Campaign Council, Picks Oladipo, Adeoti, Olajengbesi

According to Ireporter Online, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has inaugurated a 52-member campaign council to coordinate his re-election bid, with former National Secretary of the PDP, Wale Oladipo, appointed as chairman.

The statement released in Osogbo disclosed that Senator Lere Oyewumi will serve as Director General of the campaign structure, while the Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi, has been named Deputy Director General. Pelumi Olajengbesi was appointed as spokesperson, and Bola Ajao will serve as secretary of the council.

The campaign organisation also features several strategic sub-committees, with Hon. Bamidele Salam heading the Media and Publicity Committee, while Moshood Adeoti will oversee Inter-Party Relations. In addition, 29 standing sub-committees have been created to manage various operational aspects of the campaign.

The council structure is designed to extend across all nine federal constituencies in Osun State through the Imole Federal Constituency Campaign Committees. At the grassroots level, the Imole Local Government Campaign Committees will operate in all 30 local government areas and the area office, bringing together party stakeholders, elected officials, and mobilisers.

The campaign council is expected to function as the apex decision-making body for the governor’s re-election project, responsible for planning, execution, and assessment of campaign activities across all levels, including wards and diaspora engagement.

It further noted that the structure will ensure discipline, coordination, and unity within the campaign organisation as preparations intensify ahead of the election, with membership drawn from party executives, lawmakers, commissioners, advisers, council chairmen, and other stakeholders.
