Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has acknowledged the dominance of Afrobeats superstars Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, saying the trio currently represents the leading force in the music industry.

According to Ireporter Online, the former P-Square member made the statement during an interview with Yanga FM, where he spoke about the changing phases of the Nigerian music scene and the importance of respecting every generation of artistes.

Rudeboy said he maintains a positive relationship with Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, noting that every era in music has its own leading figures and no artiste can remain at the top position forever.

The singer explained that P-Square enjoyed their own period of dominance in the past, and it is now the turn of the younger generation to carry the Afrobeats movement forward.

He urged fans to appreciate the achievements of current industry leaders rather than create unnecessary comparisons and rivalry among artistes.

“I have a good relationship with Wizkid, Davido and Burna. It’s their turn to be on top; our turn has passed. Nobody is going to be there forever. People should respect that,” Rudeboy said.

The music star added that another generation of artistes would eventually emerge after Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, describing the transition as a natural process in the entertainment industry.

Rudeboy stressed that while fame and dominance may not last forever, artistes can secure their place in history by building a strong legacy through their contributions to music.
