P-Square Crisis: Henry Okoye Points Finger At Jude Over Family Division

Henry Okoye, elder brother of P-Square stars Peter and Paul Okoye, has accused their brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, of playing a major role in the prolonged disagreement that has divided members of the family.

Henry made the allegation during an interview with Nollyserve published on YouTube on Friday, where he discussed the history of the music group and the family’s involvement in the twins’ early career.

According to Ireporter Online, Henry rejected the narrative that Jude single-handedly built P-Square, insisting that members of the Okoye family contributed significantly to the twins’ development before Jude became their manager.

He recalled that the family supported Peter and Paul financially and logistically during the early stages of their music career, including providing transportation and other assistance as they travelled across different states for performances.

Henry alleged that Jude later became involved in the management of the group after Peter and Paul had already begun making progress in the music industry.

He further claimed that their late mother had initially opposed Jude taking charge of the twins’ management because of concerns about his character.

According to Henry, the family eventually noticed a deterioration in relationships between Peter and Paul and other relatives, which he attributed to Jude’s influence.

He also alleged that he was promised 20 per cent of P-Square’s earnings from performances in recognition of his contributions to the group during its formative years. However, Henry claimed he never received the money.

He said the issue later created tension between him and Jude, who allegedly questioned why Henry should receive a percentage of the group’s earnings.

Henry further accused Jude of gradually distancing other members of the family from Peter and Paul, claiming that the development contributed to the wider rift within the Okoye household.

Speaking about his current relationship with Jude, Henry said the two brothers have not communicated for between one and two years.

He also recalled an occasion when he spent about two months in hospital, claiming that Peter and Paul regularly checked on him during the period, while Jude allegedly never contacted him.

Henry further expressed concern about the strained relationship among the brothers, saying he was particularly surprised by changes he claimed to have noticed in Paul’s attitude over the years.

He suggested that Jude had exerted considerable influence over Paul, although he did not provide independent evidence to support the allegation.

On the possibility of Peter and Paul eventually resolving their differences and reuniting as P-Square, Henry said he would welcome such an outcome but expressed doubts that it would happen soon.

He alleged that the family had become divided as a result of the longstanding dispute and claimed that Peter and Paul had at times referred family members to Jude when attempts were made to resolve disagreements.

Henry’s latest comments come amid renewed tensions involving members of the Okoye family. Peter has previously made a series of public allegations concerning Jude, including claims relating to the management of P-Square and financial matters.

The renewed exchanges have once again brought the long-running dispute involving Peter, Paul and Jude into the public spotlight, with fans and members of the entertainment industry continuing to hope that the family will eventually find a way to resolve their differences.
