During the distressing event, nine masked assailants stormed the event center around 9:30 pm, unleashing gunfire indiscriminately and attempting to abduct attendees.
Yinka Olowojobi, a lecturer at Babcock University, tragically lost his life after being fatally shot in the chest while bravely resisting the kidnappers.
In addition to the lecturer’s untimely demise, two individuals were abducted from the scene, one of whom has been identified only as Dare, a manager at a car stand.
