Presidential Aide, Bayo Onanuga Refutes Claims Of UAE Lifting Ban On Nigerian Travelers

Bayo Onanuga, a presidential aide, has dismissed media reports suggesting that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lifted the ban on Nigerian travelers.

In a recent post on his X handle, Onanuga clarified that a document circulating online claiming the UAE’s lifting of the ban is unauthorized by both the Nigerian and UAE governments.

Earlier today, a document surfaced online stating that the UAE had rescinded the ban on Nigerian travelers. The document outlined procedures for Nigerians intending to visit the UAE, including the requirement to obtain a Document Verification Number and attend an interview at the UAE embassy in Lagos or Abuja.

Onanuga emphasized that the document lacks official authorization from either government. He urged the public to disregard such misinformation.
