Addressing the prevalent queries such as “What is happening in Nollywood?” or “Why are actors dying?” Edochie expressed her frustration, stating that such questions are baseless and should be ceased. She asserted that celebrities, like everyone else, are subject to the natural cycle of life and death, and their passing should not be overly scrutinized.
Edochie highlighted the tendency for people to react strongly to the deaths of celebrities due to their prominence and impact in the entertainment industry. She emphasized that actors, just like teachers, doctors, lawyers, and other professionals, are susceptible to mortality, and their deaths should not be treated as extraordinary occurrences.
In light of the recent passing of Nollywood legend Muonagor, Edochie mourned his loss and paid tribute to his contributions to the industry. She reflected on his resilience and the profound influence he had on those around him. Edochie also extended her condolences to Muonagor’s family, acknowledging the void left by his departure.
The actress concluded her statement by urging Nigerians to celebrate the lives of departed stars and cherish the memories they have left behind. She emphasized the need for collective support and empathy during times of grief, while also recognizing the inevitability of death as a part of the human experience.
