Sh*cking Revelation: Beverly Osu Considered Religious Life Before Entertainment Career
Nollywood actress and reality television personality Beverly Osu has revealed that she once aspired to become a Reverend Sister before eventually pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.
Speaking during a recent podcast interview, Beverly recounted how her strong Catholic upbringing significantly influenced her early life ambitions and shaped her desire to join a religious order.
The actress explained that she spent her formative years in various parts of Lagos, including Surulere, Yaba, and Ojuelegba, experiences she said contributed to her personal development. She further disclosed that her conviction to embrace religious life deepened while attending Daughters of Divine Love Juniorate in Enugu.
According to Beverly, she was genuinely committed to the idea of becoming a Reverend Sister and saw it as a likely path for her future at the time. However, her journey eventually took a different direction, leading her into the entertainment industry.
Reflecting on what drew her to the religious vocation, the actress noted that she admired the discipline, cleanliness, and orderly lifestyle associated with priests and Reverend Sisters. She explained that her naturally meticulous nature and appreciation for neatness made the vocation particularly appealing.
Beverly stated that while she did not ultimately join the convent, she believes she continues to serve a meaningful purpose through her current endeavors.
