Son of Iron chronicles the compelling journey of Kunle Ogundele, a talented teenager from a Lagos suburb who possesses an uncanny skill for fixing damaged toys and electronics. Beyond its action-driven plot, the film delves into the emotional bond between a grandfather and his grandson, spotlighting the significance of understanding one’s lineage and the stories that shape family history.

The film captures Kunle’s inner conflict as he battles not only his fears but also the rigid expectations imposed by his father. Despite Kunle’s natural brilliance and passion for technical innovation, he finds himself at odds with the dreams his father, Rotimi Ogundele, has mapped out for him. Rotimi, still troubled by his own unfulfilled ambition of becoming a lawyer, pressures his son toward the legal career he never achieved—an aspiration influenced by his deep respect for his former mentor, Barrister John Fakutiju.
