Tinubu Celebrates Historic Achievement: Welcomes 1st Female Nigerian-British Military Academy Graduate To Aso Rock
In a momentous occasion at the State House, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, welcomed Second Lt. Led by the Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Maj.-Gen. John Ochia, Owowoh’s remarkable accomplishment was met with commendation and praise from Mrs. Tinubu.
Describing Owowoh’s journey as one of aspiration, resilience, and divine selection, Mrs. Tinubu emphasized the significance of her achievement and the doors it opens for other women. She lauded the Nigerian Army for providing Owowoh with the opportunity to excel and encouraged her to continue blazing trails as a youth advocate.
At just 23 years old, Owowoh emerged from the RMA’s rigorous training program with honours, standing alongside 24 other International Cadets. Her exceptional performance during her time at the academy earned her recognition and admiration, setting a precedent for future generations of Nigerian women in the military.
