A source revealed to Vanguard that on Sunday, President Tinubu held an extensive meeting with Mrs. Hadiza Bala Usman, the Special Adviser on Policy Coordination, at his office in Aso Rock.

The discussions reportedly focused on assessing the performance of current ministers and the overall effectiveness of the cabinet. Others present during the meeting included Zaccheus Adedeji, Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and Special Adviser on Revenue, along with the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, signaling that a thorough review of the government’s operations may be underway.

Prior to this, it was reported that National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa also met with the president, suggesting that broad consultations are taking place. A presidential source hinted that a cabinet reshuffle announcement could come before the end of the week, with Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting potentially being a farewell for some ministers.
