Why The APC Seems Unstoppable: A Glimpse Into The Edo North Rally
The ongoing political battle for Edo State is heating up, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) is emerging as a formidable force. With back-to-back rallies that have taken the state by storm, the APC is sending a powerful message to opposition parties as they march toward the September 21 governorship election.
Starting with the Edo South rally in Benin, followed by the Edo Central rally in Uromi, and now the Edo North rally in Auchi, the APC has demonstrated unparalleled strength and unity. These rallies have not only showcased the party’s ability to mobilize supporters across the state but have also triggered significant unrest within the ranks of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other opposition factions.
What distinguishes these rallies is the extraordinary unity within the APC. The attendance of key party leaders at each event highlights the cohesion that characterizes the party’s current political landscape. From the resilient Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, Minister of Niger Delta Development Engr. Abubakar Momoh, and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, to Edo Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, Senator Matthew Uroghide, Peter Akpatason, Julius Ihonvbere, Ernest Afolabi, State Party Chairman Jarret Tenebe, Lawrence Okah, and many others, the lineup of influential figures rallying behind the party is truly impressive.
Crucially, both gubernatorial candidate Senator Monday Okpebholo and his running mate Dennis Idahosa have been at the forefront of these rallies, embodying the spirit of unity and progress that the APC is championing. Their combined presence, along with the support of other party heavyweights, has created an atmosphere of solidarity that is both inspiring and intimidating to their political rivals.
This show of strength and unity is sending ripples across the political landscape of Edo State. The opposition, particularly the PDP, is grappling with internal crises and struggling to match the momentum that the APC has generated. The bond between the APC leaders, their candidates, and the grassroots supporters is a force to be reckoned with.
In a political race where unity often determines success, the APC’s cohesive front is proving to be a game-changer. As the rallies continue and the election date draws nearer, it is becoming increasingly clear that the APC is not just a participant in the Edo political race—they are a leading contender, potentially unstoppable in their quest for victory.
