Earlier reports suggested that Ngozi had appealed for financial support from the public during a visit by the Minister of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, to the hospitalized actor.

In response to the publication, Ngozi, in a conversation with TheCable, dismissed the notion of soliciting funds for the care of her ailing husband.

She remarked, “Really? For where na? Who did I tell that one? I don’t remember granting such an interview to anybody. It is well. Please, I never said anything.”

Zack Orji was admitted to the national hospital on December 29, 2023, after reportedly collapsing in his bathroom. Providing an update on Wednesday following her visit, Minister Hannatu Musawa disclosed that the actor had undergone brain surgery.
