Real Reason Chimamanda Adichie Was Seen In Court With Peter Obi

Celebrated Nigerian Novelist, Chimamanda Adichie, was spotted in court on Tuesday, accompanying Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Datti Baba Ahmed, to the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja.

The agenda for the day included the adoption of the final written address by Obi and the legal representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission, President Bola Tinubu, Kashim Shettima, and the All Progressives Congress.

It is no secret that Adichie had openly supported Obi before the election, and she had also criticized the manner in which the Presidential Election was conducted. She had expressed concerns about voter disenfranchisement, especially with the difficulty in collecting Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and the lack of real-time access to polling unit results.

The final adoption of the written address by the Obi camp took place yesterday, and it is not surprising to see Chimamanda Adichie present at such a significant moment, given her affiliation with the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi.
