In a noteworthy move, Peseiro has unveiled his starting XI for the face-off against Equatorial Guinea at the Stade Olympique Alassane, introducing three players making their continental debut for the Super Eagles.

Chippa United’s shot-stopper, Stanley Nwabali, clinched the starting goalkeeper position over Francis Uzoho.

PAOK central defender William Troost-Ekong has been entrusted with the captaincy, leading a robust defense consisting of Semi Ajayi, Zaidu Sanusi, and Ola Aina.

In the midfield, Alhassan Yusuf and Frank Onyeka will take charge, while Alex Iwobi assumes the role of the playmaker.

Victor Osimhen, the reigning African Player of the Year, has been granted the lone striker position, supported by the dynamic duo of Moses Simon and Ademola Lookman.
