Enyimba Assistant Coach Bids Farewell To Finidi George Ahead Of Super Eagles Appointment

Yemi and Finidi have collaborated for over two seasons at Enyimba, contributing to the team’s success, including winning the Nigeria Premier Football League last season. Finidi, who was previously an assistant coach to Jose Peseiro at the Super Eagles level, took on the role of interim coach before being appointed head coach in April 2024. With Finidi’s new responsibilities with the national team, Yemi is set to take over at Enyimba. Finidi’s first task as head coach of the Super Eagles will be leading the team in World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic in June.
