Joeboy: Women Are Not Treated Properly In Africa (Details)
Popular singer Joseph Akinfenwaa Donus, known as Joeboy, has shed light on the inspiration behind his hit song “Better,” revealing that it addresses domestic violence against women. In a recent interview with media personality Vivz, Joeboy explained that he wrote the song to highlight the plight of women who are often mistreated in African society.
Vivz praised the song, saying, “‘Better’ is my favorite song ever. In that song, it’s like you’re speaking up for a woman that has been treated badly by another man.”
Joeboy responded, “It’s something that happens a lot in African society; domestic abuse. Sometimes women are maltreated and not treated properly. I wanted to shed light on domestic violence against women.”
The singer’s comments have resonated with many fans who appreciate his effort to address important social issues through his music.
