I Lost Focus – Harrysong Opens Up On Kcee Rift And Career Struggles

According to Ireporter Online, Nigerian singer Harrison Okiri, widely known as Harrysong, has admitted that his prolonged dispute with former label boss Kcee negatively affected his music career and creative output.

The conflict, which became public in 2017, arose when Harrysong accused Kcee’s 5ive Star Music of withholding royalties, treating him unfairly, and restricting his artistic freedom. The disagreement intensified when Harrysong claimed he had contributed to several hit songs recorded by Kcee, sparking a series of exchanges between the two parties.

In a recent interview on Jusmen 105.7 FM, Harrysong revealed that the feud often diverted his attention from recording music, as he would focus on responding to Kcee rather than developing new material. He said this distraction slowed his progress and reduced his creative productivity.

The singer noted that the matter has now been resolved, with both parties reaching an understanding, and he emphasized that he has grown in handling public disputes. He added that controversies no longer affect his work, allowing him to focus fully on his music and career advancement.

“The feud with Kcee used to distract me; it affected my music and creativity because I spent more time thinking about how to respond than making songs,” Harrysong stated.
