Straight From Hell!’ – Fubara Opens Up On Backing ADC Candidates

According to Ireporter Online, the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has denied allegations that he intends to support the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidates in the upcoming bye-election scheduled for February 21, 2026.

The controversy arose after Napoleon Ukalikpen and Bulabari Henrietta Loolo won the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Ahoada East State Constituency II and Khana State Constituency II, respectively. Both candidates are known allies of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, prompting speculation that Fubara might back ADC candidates instead of APC contenders.

Fubara described the allegations as “blatant lies from the pit of hell,” emphasizing that they were intended to create divisions within the APC in Rivers State. He reiterated that the APC in the state is united and highlighted that the President’s intervention during the primaries encouraged support for Wike’s allies to maintain party peace.

The governor stressed that as all candidates involved are APC members, it would be impossible for him to support another political party. He criticized political detractors for attempting to sow discord and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the APC and ensuring its success at the polls.

Fubara also urged citizens to focus on development issues and avoid being misled by unfounded claims.
