Harry Maguire Commits Future To Manchester United With New Deal Until 2027

According to Ireporter Online, former Harry Maguire has committed his future to Manchester United by signing a new one-year contract, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months. The 33-year-old defender was nearing the final months of his previous deal, which was set to expire at the end of the season.

The new agreement potentially extends Maguire’s tenure at Old Trafford into an eighth campaign since his record-breaking £80 million transfer from Leicester City in 2019, a then-world record fee for a defender. Since joining United, he has made 266 appearances and played a pivotal role in the club’s success, including winning the League Cup in 2022-23 and the FA Cup the following season.

Reflecting on his new contract, Maguire said, “Representing Manchester United is the ultimate honour. It is a responsibility that makes myself and my family proud every single day. The defender’s future had previously been uncertain after losing the captaincy under Erik ten Hag and nearly completing a move to West Ham United in August 2023 before the transfer fell through. His opportunities remained limited under former manager Ruben Amorim, but circumstances changed following the appointment of interim boss Michael Carrick, with Maguire starting all 10 matches since mid-January 2026.
